THE ESSENCE, BEYOND THE PRACTICE

Although this 8 day gathering may be abundant in practices for spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health, the essence lies beneath and beyond that.

 

This is not about the activities in themselves, but the foundation upon which they are built;

 

A foundation of clarity, remembrance and purpose, which will be brought into every moment in life, far beyond the retreat.

SATSANGA

SATSANGA IS A GATHERING AND ANCIENT RITUAL

A meditation/talk guides the mind back to silence, so that self-realisation may occur, beyond all mental blockages, lack narratives and programs. 

In satsanga, it is You speaking to You 

 

All illusions of lack are observed, and replaced with realisation of the Infinite, Limitless and Perfect Self, one with all that is.

During the Retreat, Satsanga will take place every evening in the Shalla guided by Sophia Tara

YOGA

THE SACRED PHILOSOPHY-SYSTEM OF AWAKENING AND REMEMBRANCE ORIGINATING IN INDIA

As fingers of the same hand, all schools, lineages and “types” have a word in common: Yoga.

For 8 days, we will dive into the essence of Yoga, beyond the modern labels.

We will honour and practice this millennial Tradition which leads to Freedom on all levels, and a thriving and healthy Life. Yoga is within everything.
 

Practices will include:

  • Āsana (Psico-physical positions),

  • Prānāyāma (Breathing exercises),

  • Dhāranā/Dhyāna (Meditation),

  • Yoganidrā (Relaxation techniques),

  • Kriyā/Shat Karma (Purification exercises),

  • Mantra (Sacred Sounds)

  • Exploring the Chakra System

  • Sāmkhya Philosophy.

No previous experience with yoga is required.  Everyone is equally welcome and will benefit in their own unique way from the practices and teachings. 

During the retreat, yoga practice will take place 1-2 times a day.

DAILY PRACTICES

SUN-GAZING, GROUNDING, CHANTING AND HARMONISED BREATHING METHODS

Everyday will begin with "realignment" Practices for health and development on all levels; Sun-Gazing, Grounding, Chanting, and Harmonised Breathing methods - different exercises that can help you tap into the breath and your body to build self-awareness and focus during meditation or yoga, but also during all moments of the day. You will gather tools for recentering yourself in lifes comings and goings.

Breath is Spirit, and it is through correct breathing that one may truly realise the Self.

Along with breathing, sun-gazing is one of the most ancient and sacred practices of all cultures and spiritual paths. By Sun-gazing each day, our body functions and spiritual centres are activated. 

During the Retreat, Daily Practice will take place in the morning, at sunrise.

GONG BATH AND 
SOUND HEALING

AN ANCIENT INSTRUMENT USED FOR HEALING

Together we will dive deep into the ocean of healing sounds: the vibrations of the gong. A most beautiful, abundant and wise instrument. All you have to do is to simply enter a state of receptivity and let the wave of frequencies from this sacred instrument deliver its gift to your cells. An ocean of remembrance, allowing a higher state of vibration enter your vessel,

 

Each gong is tuned to the frequency of a  planet, and very specific methods are applied which involve shamanic playing of the gongs, in order to reach a state of absolute relaxation, where insight, clarity and deep healing may take place.

These sound waves have a direct impact on our cellular health and health on all levels. It is the ultimate healing.
Gong therapy will take place before Satsanga every evening.

Tai Chi in Motion

TAI CHI AND
QIGONG

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese meditative practice and form of martial art, which involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.

Qi (“Chi”) is all around us as it is the breath of life, the prāna that flows through every cell in the universe.

Qigong (pronounced “chee-gung”) means “working with the Qi” and is an ancient system of energy medicine consisting of slow, gentle movements and meditation. It’s goal is to stimulate the flow of Qi throughout the body. Part of qigong’s beauty lies in its marriage of movement with thought and intention bringing mind, body and soul into the present moment.

During the Retreat, Tai Chi and Qigong will take place on specific days during morning and afternoon.

432HZ LIVE MUSIC

EVERYTHING IS MUSIC

Sophia Tara will be joined by Panarmonia, a group of musicians who make uplifting and awakening music, aligned with the universal harmony of 432Hz. Panarmonia will play instrumental music, re-aligning us with the essence of the 9 muses - inspiration, harmony, expressivity and creation. 

Through music, the human heart can be directly touched.

Music will be played during Satsanga in the evenings, as well as a concert night.
